Phil and Julie Hawkins

Northland Seed and Supplies (1997) Ltd was formed when Phil Hawkins bought the business from the previous owner after having worked for the company.

Phil has extensive experience in all aspects of the agriculture and horticulture industry, having gained a Diploma in Agriculture before working for Arthur Yates and Company Ltd and later for a multinational chemical company.

He worked as a self-employed spray contractor and then worked for the previous Northland Seed and Supplies company as a rep until the previous owner offered the chance for Phil and his wife Julie to take over the business.

Julie looks after the accounts and is a director, bringing her previous experience in banking and in school administration.

Daniel Hawkins

Daniel is a director of the company and he also happens to be Phil and Julie's son. He has a background in valuation and now brings his energy and knowledge of Northland and farming.

Mark Dunham

Mark started his career with his degree a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Agriculture from Massey University. Following his degree, he went dairy farming in Northland. He then moved to PGG Wrightsons and worked in Australia where he was business manager for a Seed Division of PGGW. He is now settled in Northland and spent about four years working for NZ Farmsource before joining Northland Seed Supplies.

Kelly Sandford

Kelly is responsible for accounts administration and sales. She is a dairy farmer at Waipu and has been part of the agricultural industry for at least eight years.

Other longtime staff members include manager Dave Blakey and storeman Bill Strachan, who provide quality service and information.
